-374-

intersection in Year 2005 (anticipated year of full development for ali six areas
subdivisions) ~br the AM peak traffic hour (top half of exhibit) and the PM peak
traffic hour (lower half of exhibit). Likewise, Revised Appendix D-2 displays the
same information for the CSAH #5 - Alpine Drive NW intersection in Year 2005.

In addition, Appendix D-3 is attached showing the projected Year 2005 approach
volumes and turning movement counts at the County Road #57 (Sunfish Lake Blvd.)
- Alpine Drive NW (153rd Avenue NW) intersection generated by the six (6) new
residential developments. Current peak hour approach and turning movement counts
were not available at tlfis intersection, which would permit the projection of the "Year
2005 Background Volumes". However, current "average daily traffic volumes" on
County Road #57 (Sunfish Lake Blvd.) at AlPine Drive are approximately 50% (2250
vehicles per day) of those on CSAH #5 at Alpine Drive (4500 vpd).

Projected Year 2005 Levels of Service wi'th Development

Table VIII of the May 14th report provided the following "Level of Service" summary
at both intersections for the AM and PM peak traff~c hours based on the projected
Year 2005 volumes with the five (5) new developments being proposed at that time.

Table VIII
Projected Year 2005 Level-of-Service with Five (5) Developments

AM Peak Hour PM Peak Hour
TH #47/Alpine Drive N W C C
CSACH #5/Alpine Drive N W A/B B

The additional approach and turning movement volumes added by the "Villas of
Meadow Point" result in the following Levels-of-Service:.

Table VIII (Revised)
Projected Year 2005 Levels-of-Service with Six (6) Developments

" /UV1 Peak Hour PM Peak Hour
'I'H #47/Alpine Drive NW (2 C
CSAH #5/Alpine Drive N W B B
Co. In summary, ali three (3) intersections are currently
operating at a very high level-of-service - even during the AM and PM peak traffic
hours. And the anticipated traffic volume growth of 3.5% plus development of six (6)
area residential subdivisions are not expected to significantly alter or deteriorate that
level of service by Year 2005.

G:\MunicipakARAM SEYX3166\ra3166sjanalysis l.doc

Page 3

Hakanson
Anderson
Assoc., Inc.

I
i
I
I
I

I
!
I
I
