-456- <br /> <br />Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HIRING OF AARON MADSEN TO <br />FULL-TIME PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE WORKER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 13th 2002, Council authorized staffto begin the process <br />to recruit for a full-time Public Works Maintenance Worker; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the position was posted internally with no letters of interest received <br />and then advertised externally and 44 applications were received; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, four candidates were interviewed by a staff panel on October 9, <br />2002 and the panel has recommended to the Personnel Committee to hire Aaron Madsen <br />for the full-time Public Works Maintenance Worker position. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1): <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br />Personnel Committee to hire Aaron Madsen for the full-time Public Works <br />Maintenance Worker position. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That Aaron Madsen will be compensated at an hourly rate of $ t 5.03/hour, will <br />accrue vacation according to City policy, and be required to complete a six-month <br />probationary period.
