-456- Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION # RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HIRING OF AARON MADSEN TO FULL-TIME PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE WORKER WHEREAS, on August 13th 2002, Council authorized staffto begin the process to recruit for a full-time Public Works Maintenance Worker; and WHEREAS, the position was posted internally with no letters of interest received and then advertised externally and 44 applications were received; and WHEREAS, four candidates were interviewed by a staff panel on October 9, 2002 and the panel has recommended to the Personnel Committee to hire Aaron Madsen for the full-time Public Works Maintenance Worker position. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1): That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to hire Aaron Madsen for the full-time Public Works Maintenance Worker position. 2) That Aaron Madsen will be compensated at an hourly rate of $ t 5.03/hour, will accrue vacation according to City policy, and be required to complete a six-month probationary period. His hiring is contingent on successful completion of background checks, employment physical, and drug/alcohol screen. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereofi and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 22nd day of October 2002.
