occupation regulations. Concerns have been raised as to the number of CUPS the City reviews for over - sizing
of accessory structures. It has been suggested that the City increase the amount of square footage allowed on
larger lots, but eliminating the use of pole barn construction after a certain threshold. For discussion purposes,
the City could consider current square footage maximums as the baseline. Anything over this square footage
could be permitted `by- right' provided that higher architectural standards are met. Staff highly recommends
continuing to provide some cap as to the amount of square footage allowed. Regardless, parcels will still need
to meet the maximum of 35% building coverage on a lot. Consensus at a recent work session was to increase
the amount of square footage allowed. City Staff is seeking direction as to include higher architectural
standards for accessory structures at a certain threshold City Staff is also seeking direction as if the intent is
to increase square footage for accessory structures on parcels two (2) acres in size or larger, or for all
parcels.
Action Statement:
Per Discussion.
Reviewed by:
City Administrator
Planning Manager
Attachments:
1.
