7.09: Discuss the Acquisition of Required Easements to Facilitate Improvement Project #10 -24, Wetland 656W Outlet — Portions of this discussion may be closed to the public City Engineer Himmer reviewed the staff report. City Engineer Himmer requested the Council proceed to closed session to discuss offers to purchase interests in real property for the following properties: 7130 156 Avenue NW and 15505 Ramsey Boulevard NW. Motion by Councilmember Look, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to move to closed session. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey and Councilmembers Look, Jeffrey, Dehen, Elvig, McGlone and Wise. Voting No: None. Absent: None. The Special Council meeting moved into a closed session at 8:30 p.m. The regular meeting was reconvened at 8:39 p.m. Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to authorize purchase of drainage easements for $2,000 and vehicular access for 7130 156 Avenue NW and authorizing $3,000 to the property at 15505 Ramsey Boulevard NW. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey and Councilmembers Elvig, Jeffrey, Dehen, Look, McGlone and Wise. Voting No: None. Absent: None. 8. MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT The following items were noted under Mayor /Council/Staff Input: a. Local Government Officials Meeting — Wednesday, October 27 beginning at 5:00 p.m., at the Shorewood Restaurant in Fridley. The agenda includes discussion re: Water Resources in Anoka County as well as a Northstar Commuter Rail update. b. Farmers Market — Thursday, October 28 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Rhinestone Commons Park, just west of PACT Charter School. c. General Election — Tuesday, November 2, 2010. All polling places open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Note: There will be no Council Work Session on November 2. d. Canvassing Board — Council will meet to canvass the results of the General Election local races on Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at 5:30 p.m. City Council / October 26, 2010 Page 8 of 9
