7.09: Discuss the Acquisition of Required Easements to Facilitate Improvement Project <br />#10 -24, Wetland 656W Outlet — Portions of this discussion may be closed to the <br />public <br />City Engineer Himmer reviewed the staff report. <br />City Engineer Himmer requested the Council proceed to closed session to discuss offers to <br />purchase interests in real property for the following properties: 7130 156 Avenue NW and <br />15505 Ramsey Boulevard NW. <br />Motion by Councilmember Look, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to move to closed <br />session. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey and Councilmembers Look, Jeffrey, Dehen, Elvig, <br />McGlone and Wise. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br />The Special Council meeting moved into a closed session at 8:30 p.m. <br />The regular meeting was reconvened at 8:39 p.m. <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to authorize purchase of <br />drainage easements for $2,000 and vehicular access for 7130 156 Avenue NW and authorizing <br />$3,000 to the property at 15505 Ramsey Boulevard NW. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey and Councilmembers Elvig, Jeffrey, Dehen, Look, <br />McGlone and Wise. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br />8. MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br />The following items were noted under Mayor /Council/Staff Input: <br />a. Local Government Officials Meeting — Wednesday, October 27 beginning at 5:00 p.m., <br />at the Shorewood Restaurant in Fridley. The agenda includes discussion re: Water <br />Resources in Anoka County as well as a Northstar Commuter Rail update. <br />b. Farmers Market — Thursday, October 28 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Rhinestone <br />Commons Park, just west of PACT Charter School. <br />c. General Election — Tuesday, November 2, 2010. All polling places open from 7:00 a.m. <br />to 8:00 p.m. Note: There will be no Council Work Session on November 2. <br />d. Canvassing Board — Council will meet to canvass the results of the General Election <br />local races on Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at 5:30 p.m. <br />City Council / October 26, 2010 <br />Page 8 of 9 <br />
