Councilmember Hendriksen stated he does not agree with the tact taken on residential rezoning and believes it has taken a step backward relative to protecting those who wish to see the rural character in Ramsey preserved and the impact of development on surrounding properties mitigated. Case #5: Adopt Ordinance to Rezone the Proposed Plat of Sunflower Ridge from B-t Business and B-2 Business to R-3 Urban Residential; Case of Oakwood Land Development, Inc. Community Development Director Frolik reviewed that on May 28, 2002, the City .Council adopted Findings of Fact and introduced an ordinance to rezone the proposed plat of Sunflower Ridge from B-i and B~2 Business to R-3 Urban Residential. In accordance with the City Charter, the rezoning ordinance ts now eligible for adoption. Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Anderson, to adopt Ordinance #02-18 to rezone the proposed p,lat of SunfloWer Ridge from B-1 and B-2 Business to R-3 Urban Residential. Community Development Director Frolik indicated that on May 28, 2002, the City Council adopted Findings of Fact and introduced an ordinance to rezone the proposed plat of Wildlife Sanctuary 2nd Addition from R-iR Single Family Rural to R~iU Single Family Urban Residential.
