CHAPTER 9 RESIDENTIAL ZONING DISTRICT AMENDNLENTS <br /> By: Principal Planner Patrick Trudgeon <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On December 18, 2001, the Ramsey City Council adopted the new Comprehensive Plan <br />As a result, the City has been updating Chapter 9 (Zoning and SubdivisiOn ChaPter) to be <br />consistent with new Comprehensive Plan. A Chapter 9 subcommittee, comprised of the <br />City Council and Planning Commission, has been meeting since February 2002 reviewing <br /> changes. At this time, City staff is bringing forward the residential and <br />language <br /> planned <br />unit development zoning district regulations for consideration. Along with text <br />amendments, a new residential zoning map will need to be considered. <br /> <br />The following items are enclosed: <br /> <br />a) Memo from Loren Gordon, Hoisington Koegler, dated June 5, 2002 <br />b) Proposed Residential Zoning District Map <br />c) Draft Planning Commission Minutes dated May 2, 2002 <br />d) Letter Received from Ellen Stanley dated May 1, 2002 <br />e) Proposed Ordinance <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />The Planning Commission held a public hearing on May 2, 2002 and the City Council <br />introduced the new residential zoning ordinance at their May 28, 2002 meeting. The City <br />Council also instructed several small ch,a~_ ged be made.
