AUTHORITY. This Section is adopted pursuant to the authority granted by Minn. Stat. {}624.20. SECTION 2. AMENDMENT. Chapter 7 of the Ramsey City Code is amended by adding Section 7.86 to provide as follows: 7.86 Fireworks Subdivision I. Sale of Fireworks. It is unlawful to sell fireworks in the City of Ramsey in violation of Mime. Stat. §§624.20 through 624.25, inclusive, wl-fich statutes are hereby adopted by reference. "Legal fireworks" as defined in this Section may, however, be sold upon issuance of a license issued by the City. Subd. 2 Definition. For the purposes of th/s Section "Legal FirewOrks" is defined to mean: Wire or wood sparklers of not more than 100 grams of mixture per item, other sparkling items which are non-explosive and non-aerial and contain 75 grams or less ofchemicaI mixture per tube or a total of 200 grams or less for multiple tubes, snal~es and glow worms, smoke devices, or trick noisemakers which include paper streamers, party, poppers, stnng poppers, snappers, and drop pops, each consisting of not more than twenty-five hundredths grains of explosive mixture. Subd. 3 Application. The application for a license shall contain the following information: name, address, and telephone number of applicant; the address of the location where Legal Fireworks will be sold; the type of Legal Fireworks to be sold, and the estimated quantity of Legal Fireworks that will be stored on the licensed premises. Subd. 4 Processing Application. The application must be filed with the City Clerk together with the permit fee.
