COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN AMENT)tv~NT TO CHAPTER 7 OF THE CITY CODE, WTqXCH IS ~N'OWN AS L,rC£WSJNG <br />AND PEJ?~/£ITS CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE. <br /> <br />.AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 7.86 TO TIdE CITY CODE WHICH SECTION IS <br />ENTITLED "SALE OF FIREWORKS" <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey Ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. AUTHORITY. <br /> <br />This Section is adopted pursuant to the authority granted by Minn. Stat. {}624.20. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMENT. <br /> <br />Chapter 7 of the Ramsey City Code is amended by adding Section 7.86 to provide as follows: <br /> <br />7.86 Fireworks <br /> <br /> Subdivision I. Sale of Fireworks. It is unlawful to sell fireworks in the City of Ramsey in <br />violation of Mime. Stat. §§624.20 through 624.25, inclusive, wl-fich statutes are hereby adopted by <br />reference. "Legal fireworks" as defined in this Section may, however, be sold upon issuance of a <br />license issued by the City. <br /> <br />Subd. 2 Definition. For the purposes of th/s Section "Legal FirewOrks" is defined to mean: <br /> <br />Wire or wood sparklers of not more than 100 grams of mixture per item, other <br />sparkling items which are non-explosive and non-aerial and contain 75 grams or less <br />ofchemicaI mixture per tube or a total of 200 grams or less for multiple tubes, snal~es <br />and glow worms, smoke devices, or trick noisemakers which include paper <br />streamers, party, poppers, stnng poppers, snappers, and drop pops, each consisting of <br />not more than twenty-five hundredths grains of explosive mixture. <br /> <br /> Subd. 3 Application. The application for a license shall contain the following information: <br />name, address, and telephone number of applicant; the address of the location where Legal Fireworks <br />will be sold; the type of Legal Fireworks to be sold, and the estimated quantity of Legal Fireworks <br />that will be stored on the licensed premises. <br /> <br /> Subd. 4 Processing Application. The application must be filed with the City Clerk together <br />with the permit fee.
