I I I I I I I I PERSONNEL COMMITTEE CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA The Ramsey Personnel Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, February 26, 2002 at the Ramsey Fire Station Number II, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. Members Present: Mayor Thomas Gamec Councilmember Susan E. Anderson Councilmember Terry Hendriksen Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman Members Absent: Councilmember Patti Kurak Also Present: City Administrator James E. Norman Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson CALL TO ORDER Councilmelnber Anderson called the regular meeting of the Personnel Committee to order at 6:32 p.m. CITIZEN INPUT None. COMMITTEE BUSINESS Case #1: Receive Recommendations for Appointments to Planning Commission, Economic Development Authority, and Park and Recreation Commission The Interview Panel met prior to the Personnel Committee meeting and forwarded their recommendations directly to the City Council. Case #2: Authorize Contractual Arrangements with Labor Relations for Interim Human Resources Manager Absence City Administrator Norman stated that Rhonda Heryla, the Human Resources Manager, was. placed on a medical leave by her doctors due to complications from her pregnancy. The medical leave may be extended beyond the normal maternity leave time period. The City is currently in the process of hiring four new employees to various positions, in the process of selecting eight new fire fighters, and in the final stages of negotiating labor union agreements.
