Anderson <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Councilmelnber Anderson called the regular meeting of the Personnel Committee to order at <br />6:32 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Receive Recommendations for Appointments to Planning Commission, <br />Economic Development Authority, and Park and Recreation Commission <br /> <br />The Interview Panel met prior to the Personnel Committee meeting and forwarded their <br />recommendations directly to the City Council. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Authorize Contractual Arrangements with Labor Relations for Interim <br />Human Resources Manager Absence <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated that Rhonda Heryla, the Human Resources Manager, was. <br />placed on a medical leave by her doctors due to complications from her pregnancy. The medical <br />leave may be extended beyond the normal maternity leave time period. The City is currently in <br />the process of hiring four new employees to various positions, in the process of selecting eight <br />new fire fighters, and in the final stages of negotiating labor union agreements.
