-28- Mr. Gruber inquired if it would be a problem to state in their advertisement of the event that the Ramsey City Council feels it is a good event. Consensus of the Council was that they were in support of the event, but were not in a position to grant final approval at that time. Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if there had been any discussions regarding the fire works display and the close proximity to the highway. Mr. Gruber replied that there has been many discussion with the Police Chief regarding that issue. It will be an issue that will have to be watched and patrolled, but the Police Chief has indicated that there are a lot of other cities that have similar events in close proximity to the highway. CITIZEN INPUT Jan Pomeroy, 5430 154'h Lane NW, Ramsey, thanked the Council and staff for being involved with the School District regarding the bussing issues. She requested that the Council consider writing a letter to the County requesting that a four-way stop be installed at Alpine Drive and C.R. #5 to provide a safe zone for the children to cross, currently there is only a two-way stop. The other area of concerns is Sunwood Drive and C.R. #5. Mayor Gamec noted that the Council would address the issue under Mayor and Council Input. Lance Ragor, 6194 146t~' Avenue NW, requested that Case #14 be moved up on the agenda. Mayor Gamec recommended moving Case #14 to Case #6a. APPROVE AGENDA City Adrninistrator Norman requested that Case #16 MPCA Acquisition, and Case #17 Alloy Recovery Purchase be added to the agenda. Mayor Gamec requested Case #14 be moved to Case #6a. Motion by Councihnember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Anderson, to approve the agenda as amended. Motion carried.
