I AUTHORIZE THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH E & V CONSTRUCTION MANAGERS AND BKV GROUP FOR REMODELING OF CITY HALL AND AUTHORIZE THE PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE REMODEL OF CITY HALL. James E. Norman, City Administrator Background: The City Council has been considering space needs at City Hall for the past few years. The City retained the selwices ore & V Construction Managers and B;KV Group to assess the current and future space needs at City Hall. In late 2001, it was determined that an interim remodeling of City Hall would be needed prior to a possible expansion or construct/on of a new City Hall. City Council has reviewed several interim-remodeling plans over the past few months. During the Council worksession of March 19th, 2002, two remodeting ptans were reviewed by Council and Council majority recommended moving forward with Plan B and that a case be placed on the March 26, 2002 Finance. Committee agenda for Council consideration. E & V Construction Managers have provided a project budget for Plan B for the remodeling project. The total project budget is $216,068. A copy of the project budget is attached for your review. Stall' 'Recommendation: Committee Action: Based on discussion. Staff is requesting attthorization to prepare Plans and Specifications for the remodeling project. Staff is recommending funding the remodeling project with the Equipment RePlacement Fund.
