A!~2i,.".s?~nt ~ty Administrator Heidi Nelson <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER ~;!,,,; .... ¥¥ <br />Mayor Gamec called the work sessiono'f the Ci~ Council to order at 5:34 p.m. <br /> <br />WORK SESSION TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION)? <br /> <br />1) Consultant Len Levine ~.~ ~::~-"¢:~ <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated that the contract the City had ~..~..:·~ Len Levine expired on <br />January <br /> 31, <br /> 2002 and Mr. Levine had requested that the Counc~.~i~sider <br /> reestablishing <br /> his <br />contract. ' <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that the issue would need to be placed ';Sn a regular Council agenda for final <br />approval if they were to renew the contract, but felt that with budgets being fight at this time he <br />could not see signing a contract with Mr. Levine. He suggested hiring Mr. Levine on an hourly <br />basis if his services are needed in the future. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman inquired as to what the cost would be to renew the contract. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman replied $2,000 a month plus expenses. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that he would agree with using Mr. Levine on an hourly basis <br />as needed, but he could see needing his services more extensively in the future since his expertise <br />is negotiating with MnDOT. <br /> <br />City Council/March 5, 2002 <br /> Page 1 of 5 <br /> <br />-31- <br /> <br /> <br />
