-68- Councilmember Hendriksen stated that his past objection to the service was because of the cost and requested a review of what the overall cost of the service would be and what was included in that cost. Mr. Bums reviewed the proposed cost for creating, hosting and maintaining the City's website and the costs for the GovDelivery system. He explained that typically after the starmp fee there is not much in the way of add-on costs other than the monthly charge. The initial start-up fee would include converting 50 documents or no more than 1,500 pages to on-line format .initially and then GovDocs will train designated staff to do those conversions in the future. Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if the documents that GovDocs converted would be retyped or would they be scanned. Mr. Bums rephed that :some ~tems"~9 scanned, some are reformatted. Councilmember Kurak inquired as to' how long the proposed pi-ices were good for and what type of notice would be given before there is a price increase· Mr. Bums replied that what was presented to the Council was a proposal rather than a contract and in the Contract the City could agree to a multiple year contract where the rates would be locked in or the contract could include a maximum price increase figure.
