I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />CASE #: <br /> <br />INTRODUCE ORDINANCE VACATING CERTAIN CITY STREETS <br /> By: Steven Jankowski, City Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />A review of the City street system resulted in the identification of three dedicated <br />segments of right-of-way which appeared to have no reasonable public purpose for <br />roadway. These three segments of fight-of-way are illustrated on the enclosed <br />attachments. <br /> <br />Two of these segments are presently undeveloped as roadway. The third parcel, .a <br />segment of Juniper Ridge Drive is presently paved.. It is proposed that the existing <br />pavement would be removed and restored by' placing topsoil, seed and mulch. <br /> <br />A public hearing was held on these proposed vacations on October 23, 2001 and no <br />comments were offered. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends introducing an ordinance to vacate the subject street segments. <br />Action: <br /> <br />Motion to introduce ordinance 02-XX vacating certain city streets. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br />City Attorney <br />Public Works Director <br />Street Maintenance Supervisor <br /> <br />CC: 02/26/02 <br /> <br />I0 <br /> <br />-205- <br /> <br /> <br />
