Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: =SOL ,,o A RESOLUTION APROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENISIVE PLAN AND AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO~UBMIT THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT TO METROPOLITAN COUNCIL ('~.~7C ~L~ /a ~-6')o I ~'~o-~) . WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey, as part of the Comprehensive Plan process, has discussed mending the text of the 2001 Comprehensive Plan as shown on Attachment A (the Text Amendment); and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission and City CoUncil conducted a public hearing on January 24, 2002 in order to take testimony regarding the proposed Text Amendment; and WHEREAS, the Ramscy Planning Commission met on February 7, 2002 and recommended that the Ramsey City Council approve the request for an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the Text Amendment to the 2001 Comprehensive Plan. 2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes City Staff to submit the necessary documentation to Metropolitan Council for the Text Amendment to the 2001 Comprehensive Plan. -304- 3) That the Text Amendment shall become effective concurrent with the City's receipt of notification of approval from Metropolitan Council.
