I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br />I' <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak stated that the Council needs to address the private street issue formally. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson questioned the width of the private drives, what is the width. <br /> <br />Mr. Leper replied 24 feet. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson inquired if any street parking will be allowed. <br /> <br />Mr. Leper replied no, except at the end of every drive there will be three stalls. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson questioned the length of the driveways. <br /> <br />Mr. Leper replied that they are proposing 23 to 25 feet. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman inquired if the City street will connect to the Lord of Life site. <br /> <br />Community Development Assistant Wald replied yes. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Kapler noted that the only issue with private streets is that <br />the City of Ramsey is not geared to take care of the streets and do not intend to ever maintain the <br />private streets. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to adopt the <br />Findings of Fact # __ relating to a request to rezone the subject property from B-1 Business to <br />R-3 Urban Residential adding a finding to state "That the proposed rezoning and development of <br />the property will require a Comprehensive Plan amendment to expand the MUSA boundary to <br />include the subject property." <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Kurak, HendrikSen, Anderson, <br />and Zimmerman.. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to introduce <br />Ordinance #01-12- to rezone the subject property from B-1 Business to R-3 Urban <br />Residential based on the Findings of Facts. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Kurak, Zimmerman, Anderson, <br />and Hendriksen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen noted that the City has changed more property from business to <br />residential and they need to remember that in other areas of the City. <br /> <br />City Council/December 11, 2001 <br /> Page 22 of 25 <br /> <br />-177- <br /> <br /> <br />
