-36- <br /> <br />Comprehensive Plan Amendment on December 18, 2001. The 2001 Comprehensive Plan <br />designates the subject property being used for Places to Shop. Edina Development is asking for <br />an amendment to the 2001 Comprehensive Plan to allow for a medium density residential project <br />on the property that would allow up to 7 units per acre. He explained that City Staff feels that <br />this is an appropriate location for multi-family residential development and therefore is <br />recommending approval of the comprehensive plan amendment to change the land use on the <br />subject property from commercial and single family uses to medium density resid~hfial uses. <br /> <br />Vice Chair Ko ciscak asked if the majority of the Council showed interest. <br />Principal Planner Trudgeon replied that all members agreed that h/~:~it ioo much.
