-34- <br /> <br />Commissioner Watson stated that he heard that the residents did not like the open house format. <br />They felt they got conflicted or biased information. He said people wanted to see a traditional <br />hearing format. <br /> <br />Commissioner Sweet said people felt they were denied their voice. <br /> <br />A discussion took place regarding the format of the meeting; length of presentation and public <br />hearing portion; start time; whether to accept written comments; where to advertise; and whether <br />maps should be sent to residents. <br /> <br />Principal Planner Trudgeon summarized the decision to hold a public hearing on January 24 at <br />6:00 p.m. Residents can view the information stations from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. and the formal <br />hearing will start at 7:00 p.m. The agenda will list clear steps. The February meeting of the <br />Planning Commission will include the results of the hearing as an agenda item and a <br />recommendation will then be made to the Council.
