-56- <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson noted that this is the first time the Council had seen the proposed <br />development and she felt that medium density would be more appropriate in the area rather than <br />high density. <br /> <br />Councitmember Zimmerman replied that she would agree with that. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that if the City is going to have a high-density development it would <br />probably be the most appropriate in this location because of the main roads that are adjacent to <br />the parcel. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that he would agree 'with a more intense use in the area, but <br />not to the extent of what was proposed. 210 units are being proposed in a 24 gross acre parcel <br />with some of the land being ~?.and. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Hendr/ksen, Zimmerman, Anderson, and Kurak. <br />Voting No: Mayor Gamec. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman recommended designating the property as medium density on the <br />land use map that will be submitted on January 24, 2002 for a public hearing as well as the <br /> <br />City CounCil/December 11, 2001 <br /> Page 12 of 25 <br /> <br /> <br />
