Norman <br /> Diana Lund <br /> Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br /> Gustafson <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Anderson called the regut~ <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Personnel Committee to order at 6:59 <br /> <br />Authorize Hiring of Auto Mechanic <br /> <br />Human Resources Manager Heryla stated that on December 11, 2001, the City Council <br />authorized an additional 20 hours per week for an auto mechanic as included in the 2002 budget. <br />The opportunity for the additional 20 hours was posted internally for five business days in <br />accordance with the union contract. Brian Il-mot, the City's current part-time mechanic, was the <br />only applicant. Staff recommended that Mr. Ihnot be hired for the position of full-time Auto <br />Mechanic effective January 1, 2002 with a salary consistent with union contract and two weeks <br />vacation. Mr. Ihnot would be required to complete a six month probationary period. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Mayor Gamec, t° recommend that the City <br />Council authorize the hiring of Brian Ihnot for the position of full-time Auto Mechanic with a <br /> <br />Personnel Committee/December 18, 2001 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
