-g4- <br /> <br />Consensus was that the City should not incur any additional costs for the extension of sewer and <br />water to the site. <br /> <br />City Engineer Olson explained that Centex has stated that they are willing pay for all on-site and <br />off-site costs associated with the storm sewer to the north of the property, the provides the <br />necessary outlet for their site to the fiver. If the storm sewer system needs to be redesigned or <br />oversized to accommodate other properties, Centex has requested the extra cost be made with <br />trunk storm sewer fees. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendfiksen replied that staff should explain to Centex that they would be using <br />a City facility to get to the river and if they would like to build their own facility they could do <br />so. If Centex is choosing to not comply with 'the storm water management plan to save money <br />then there is something wrong!~i:},.~ <br /> <br />City Engineer Olson reeO~endea:~bling action until January. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilm~ber Kur~:~.'J~conded by CoUncilmember Hendriksen, to table action until <br />January 2002. <br /> <br />FUrther diScussion: Steve Ach~7:Q~nte~':Hom~S}· explained that what they are trying to determine <br />is what the policy is pertaining to the trunk fee~. In regards to the storm sewer system there are a <br />couple 0fways to drain the site and whht they are a,s~g is that they can design a system to drain <br />their site of anything that is needed for~ an overa~;~ctr~ain, ~tge plan for the area goes beyond the cost <br />of the development. Mayor Gamec ;~l~'d :~at st~ and the developer have to come together <br />with a recommendation that is the best intere~-o"£';~he Ci~;. Councilmember Hendriksen stated <br />that the Council is the policy makers for the Ci~d thet~'~e~ a preliminary plat that states they <br />were going to do something and now they want tb~g~?~. <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, ~b'uncilmX~:e~'bers ~}kk, Hendriksen, Anderson, <br />and Zimmerman.
