-82- <br /> <br />Case #5: Adopt Amended Training and Education Policy <br /> <br />Human Resources Manager Heryla stated that based on the discussions with the City Council on <br />October 10, 2000, and January 23, 2001, staff prepared an amended Training and Education <br />Policy for Committee and Council consideration. In summary, the policy includes language <br />regarding computer training and allows for reimbursement of non-job related training if agreed <br />upon by both the Department Head and Human Resources Manager, and if the training will <br />benefit the employee as he/she looks to future opportunities. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember'Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to recommend that <br />the City Council adopt the Training and Education Policy as presented. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ga~nec, Councilmembers t-Iendriksen, Kurak, Anderson, <br />and Zimmerman.
