I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Steve Jankowski <br />December 26, 2000 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Of particular interest to the existing developments abutting Orchard Hills Subdivision, <br />and particularly to the residents along Barium and Cobalt Streets to the south, are the <br />likely traffic volume impacts on their streets generated by this new development. <br /> <br />Trip Generation <br /> <br />As mentioned previously, the proposed development of Orchard Hills Subdivision <br />consists of forty-two (42) townhome units. Based upon the trip generation rates <br />published in "Trip Generation, 6th Edition", by the Institute of Transportation Engineers <br />(ITE) in 1997, Table I below estimates the number of trips expected to be generated on <br />a daily basis as well as during the A.M. and P.M. peak traffic hours including the split of <br />inbound versus outbound trips. <br /> <br /> TABLE I <br />ORCHARD HILLS ULTIMATE DEVELOPMENT <br />TRIP GENERATION <br /> <br /> Trip Gen.
