Case #5: Request for Final Plat Approval of a Minor Subdivision, Sunwood Estates; Case of Anoka County Community Action Program (ACCAP) Case 6: Request l'or Site Plan Review of Sunwood Estates; Case of Anoka County Community Action Program (ACCAP) Motion by Councihnember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to table action on Case #5 and Case #6 and invoke the 60-day extension. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmelnbers Hendriksen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: Councilmember Anderson. Abstain: Councilmember Connolly. Case #8: Accept information Regarding Staff Recommendation for a New Street Name for 153~a/155t~' Avenue City Administrator Norman stated that the City is currently working to construct a connection between 153~d Avenue and 155th Avenue creating a City street that connects the east side of Ramsey to the xvest side. At the Happy Days festival in September, residents were asked for their suggestions for a new street name. Staff received approximately 30 suggestions, which were submitted to the Council for their consideration. They selected five and asked that staffbe surveyed for their choice from those five. Surveys listing the five choices went out to all City departments asking that each proposed street name be ranked and returned to the Assistant City Administrator by November 13, 2000. The Assistant City Administrator received 37 responses from 54 City employees. The staff selected "Alpine" as their favorite name for 153/155 Avenue. There was also a suggestion that "Drive" should be changed to "Parkway" because the roadway runs adjacent to Alpine Park. Lake Itasca Drive came in as second; Municipal Center Drive third; Thorn Drive fomlh; and Pearson Drive fifth. Councilmelnber Cormolly stated that she would prefer Alpine Drive so that "Drives" are going in one direction and "Boulevards" in another. City Attorney Goodrich noted that the name ctiange would require an ordinance so at this point all they are doing is selecting a name and directing staff to put together an ordinance for introduction. Mayor Gamec stated that there has been some concern fi'om residents on how the address change will be handled and inquired if the City will handle that change o1' does the post office o1' resident have to do it.
