In 27 years he has never had a problem
with people finding his home and would prefer if the street name was left the same. He
suggested giving the new extension a new name, but leaving everything else the same.

Councihnember Hendriksen inquired if it is possible for a street to have two names for an interim
period.

Mayor Gan-mc stated that his street name has been changed four times because of the grid system
and the post office has kept the old address for at least five years.

Motion by Councilmember Cormolly, seconded by Councilmember A_nderson, to direct staff to
develop an ordinance to change the name of 15yd/155® Avenue to Alpine Drive and research the
information with the post office and explore the option of reimbursement on some of the costs
incun'ed for making address changes.

Motion carried. Staff is currently in the process of doing a survey on turning traffic to see how many people
are still using Waco Street as well as informing the resident that the City has purchased a speed
trailer. The Committee directed staff to gather information from the speed trailer in January and
then invite the residents in the area to review the data.

2) Presentation and Consideration of Water Tower Lettering and Color Scheme

City Engineer Jankowski replied that staff received direction regarding the lettering on the ta~c.
The consensus of the Committee was to have the wording "The CITY of Ramsey" placed on the
water tower and that the decision of color was left to staff to bring a recommendation to the
entire Council. At this time staff is proposing white with blue.

Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if they would want a white water tower.

Councihnember Anderson inquired if mildew resistant paint is available.

City Engineer Jankowski replied that the rougher the surface the more likely it is that mildew
will build up.
