As you know, ]: am currently a commissioner on the Charter <br />Commission, and I would like to have the opportunity to work with the City of Ramsey in a <br />broader role. <br /> <br />I have enclosed my r(~sum~ for your consideration. I have extensive experience in management <br />and business planning. I also have strong facilitation skills, having led and been a member of <br />many management committees and forums. Since moving to Ramsey one year ago, I have <br />become involved in several community activities. In addition to serving on the Charter <br />Commission, I am a Girl Scout troop leader, a weekly volunteer at Ramsey Community School, <br />and have coached youth athletics. <br /> <br />I am interested in serving on the Park and Recreation Commission so that I might have an <br />opportunity to help guide the community in its planning of park facilities, services, and activities. <br />As the mother of a seven-year old, I believe that the availability of strong programs and top- <br />notch facilities is critical for the continuing development and enrichment of the community's <br />youth. I also believe that youth and adults alike can develop and sustain a healthier lifestyle <br />when services and activities are readily available at facilities within the community. As a former <br />resident of suburban Chicago, ]: sincerely value the "green space" that is a part of Ramsey and <br />would seek to ensure its preservation and expansion where feasible. <br /> <br />Thank you for your time and consideration.
