APPROVAL OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZATION TO <br />ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR I.P. 00-35, 141~t AVENUE NW & EBONY STREET NW <br />STREET & UTILITY CONSTRUCTION <br /> By: Brian E. Olson, City Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Improvement Project 00-35 consists of two phases. The first phase of the project is to provide street, sewer, and <br />water to the T & G Land site. This phase of the construction can be completed without the acquisition of the <br />Commercia[ Asphalt property. <br /> <br />The second phase of the project is the construction of a watermain loop so as to keep the water in the City main <br />fresh and ensure the flow from two directions in case of a break. This phase will also include the construction of <br />approximately 400 feet of street to east entrance to the T & G land site. <br /> <br />Since the cost of this improvement will be more than $100,000, state law requires that the bids be advertised for 3 <br />consecutive weeks in the Anoka Union and the Construction Bulletin.
