SCOPE OF SERVICES I I Design Phase Services Program Schedule The program schedule will lead team members through project completion. Benefit: Project schedule objec~ves are kept in focus by the team for optimum achieveraent. Design Meetings Participation by team members enhances communication allowing better understanding of the project requirements and challenges. Benefit: Gain insight / offer suggesn'ons to design solua'ons. Reporting Comprehensive reports documenting the design process, at contract award, periodically through the course of construction, and at project completion documents the construction process for the City of Ramsey. Benefit: Successfid projects start and finish with good communication. Value Engineering / Estimating Services Reviews and estimates are performed at the various stages of design: schematic, design development and construction documents. These reviews will include a detailed report of estimated costs. In the. events that adjustments need to be made keep the project within budget, we will suggest alternatives or modifications to bring the project within budget. Benefit: Estimates provide the City information on which to base approval decisions. Value engineering provides the City with cost/benefit analysis for evaluation of building systems. Design Budget Reviews Budget reviews will be conducted at the conclusion of each major design phase: schematic, design development and construction documents. Line by line reviews of estimates will enable you to have the information necessary to take the appropriate actions. Benefit: Keep project within budget. Constructability Reviews Constructability reviews will occur during design and during construction documentation preparation. Selection of materials, construction methods and construction details are reviewed from a construction perspective. Benefit: Good, clean bid documents yieM fewer changes and lower costs to the City.
