-260- <br /> <br />Case #4: Relocating Mailboxes in Cul-de-sacs <br /> <br />The Public Works Department expressed concerns to the Committee regarding mailbox <br />placement within cul-de-sacs. Snow removal and postal concerns have become an issue this year <br />due to such a large amount of snowfall. City staff introduced a policy to the Committee <br />prohibiting the placement of mailboxes in cul-de-sacs. This policy recommends that all existing <br />mailboxes be removed and placed in the throat of the cul-de-sac while new developments follow <br />the proposed policy for mailbox placement. <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br /> <br />Recommendation to develop a draft policy and forward to City Attorney for review. <br /> <br />Case #5: Special Requests for Snowplowing on Private Roads <br /> <br />The Public Works Department has received several requests from residents and business owners <br />with concerns on snow removal on private roads.
