-28- <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman replied that they could do so at a cost, but a lot of the areas on the <br />site will not be developed. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman inquired if the City could be held responsible if a business ~inds <br />concrete on their property after the City sells it to them. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich explained that any agreement would state "to the best of their <br />knowledge". He did not think that the City would be considered liable.' <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendr/ksen stated that a previous owner of the property had applied for a <br />conditional use pern~it for the purpose of burying concrete on the site. It was his recollection that <br />that permit was denied, but requested that staff research that further. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to authorize Sauter <br />& Sons, Inc. to remove and dispose of the concrete rubble and miscellaneous debris for a cost not <br />to exceed $40,520.00. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Kurak, Anderson, <br />and Zimme~rnan. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #5: <br /> <br />Adopt Ordinance Renaming Portion of 153rd Avenue NW and 155th Avenue <br />NW <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski presented the Council with a map identifying the segments of 153rd <br />Avenue NW which serves the City as an east/west collector street with the completion of a 0.8 <br />mile segment between 155th Avenue NW and Variolite Street NW to 153rd Avenue NW to <br />Armstrong Boulevard NW. A public hearing was held on February 13, 2001. An ordinance was <br />introduced on April 10, 2002 changing the name of these various streets to Alpine Drive. To <br />finalize the ordinance the Council is required to adopt the ordinance. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to adopt Ordinance <br />#01 ~ effecting a name change for the above street effective on January 1, 2002. <br /> <br />A roll call vote was performed by the Recording Secretary: <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson aye <br />Councilmember Kurak aye <br />Councilmember Zimmerman aye <br />Councilmember Hendriksen aye <br />Mayor Gamec aye <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />City Council/May 8, 2001 <br />Page 14 of 20 <br /> <br /> <br />
