As of a couple of weeks ago, St. Paul Term/nals <br />ceaSed?:~e intake of all ms'er/als at the site until there is a decision bY the City re~arding their <br />applicati0r~ for a conditi~r~hl use permit. The scope of the facility proposed includes a <br />redemp~ib~/?and procesS~; center for ferrous and non-ferrous metals; melt furnaces for the <br />aluminum; >:Pr~eess< )~'ff:"recycle vehicles, including the disassembly of bodies, engines, <br />transmissions;:'~eia~?s~i}es of saleable timbers fi.om abandoned railway. Mr. Jeff schott, Jr. of St. <br />Paul Terminals w0Qld be mana~ng the Ramsey facility. He has submitted a 2 sheet site plan for <br />Lots 1 and 2. The site plan identifies the various processing areas with_in the building and the <br />yard. Part of the clean up activities conducted by St. Paul Terminals including replacing a <br />deteriorated chain link fence with a steel fence that provides 100% opacity. That steel fence <br />currently extends from about the middle of the building to the berm on the east side of the <br /> <br />Planning Commission/June 5, 2001 <br /> Page 25 of 30 <br /> <br /> <br />
