-356-

May 2& 200 I
Page 4
material, and shears for some others. Our intention is develop an indoor facilky to
house many of these operations. This plan was laid down to take 5 to 7 years; but
now seems to plowing forward at an astronomical rate. We are not financially
prepared for such quick progress. That's what led us to discussion about EDA plans
with eky staff.

Our outdoor storage needs for processing are restricted to Lotl of the property
and wish for that to remain same. We would also ask that you allow us to store our
transfer containers and saleable landscape timbers on Lot 2. Lots 3 and 4 would
remain unused until we are ready to develop or come to some agreement w/th cky
staff regarding an EDA development plan.

At this time our cleanup process is near completion and should be complete
upon issuance of this permit. Regarding the issue of screening; we have an
understanding that you would like to see some other type screening in the form of
concrete. We are willing to do that in the future however we feel that the screening
on Lot 1 is sufficient until we know where this EDA plan is going. Lots 2,3 and 4
are somewhat screened by the new fence and some by the old, but ask that you allow
us to leave this as it is because those three lots are part of this discussion in
development and would be foolish to spend the time and money when chances are
these properties wilt not be apart of the master plan.

Since March 26, 2001 this facility has remained closed to the general public
so that we may be able to properly address the problems with this permit in good
faith. As of May 21, 2001 we have ceased to intake any material at al/. Once the
permit that was issued to Danny's Aluminum Processing has been revoked; we
wanted to be sure we had ample time to complete the cleanup and have everything
that we were obligated to take care of in our contract with Mr. Karst completed.
Once that is complete, we will be working on improvements to the back halfofthe
building. We will also be doing some landscaping and visual improvements, to the
property to make it more presentable. Hopefully this process will move right along
as to minimize our downtime. Soon we will be applying for a permit to install a new
sign displaying our new company name and logo. In-the short-term future we hope
to be able to present plans for buildings and screening involved in the EDA plan.

Thank you for your time and consideration as we hope to be members of your
community today and for many years to come. We would like to provide your
communky with the type of service it deserves and not that of which you have
experienced in the past.

JeffSchott Sr. Pres. ~ CEO
Jeff 8chott Jr., Management

I
I
I

I
!

!

I
I
I
I
1
I
I
I
I
