I <br />I <br />I <br />I B <br /> ackground: <br /> <br />I Case #1: <br /> <br />I Staff rep~ <br /> · A si~ <br /> S1 ree <br />I · Ti~e c <br /> · A"S' <br /> <br />IIn a~tdit <br /> -,\ ~'~lc mci <br />i '[ 9~'~.~An al <br /> <br />I The <br /> 5~/ stop. <br /> <br /> CASE # <br /> <br />REPORT FROM PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE ~/~q', jcq ~ <br /> By: Steve Jankowski, City Engineer ~/~,_y, <br /> <br />The following cases were discussed by the Public Works Committee on Monday, June 18, 2001. <br /> Waco Street Traffic Concerns <br /> <br />Staff reported that the following action has been or will be taken within a number of weeks: <br /> A signed and painted crosswalk shall be placed at the location where the trail crosses Waco <br /> Street near 150th Lane. <br /> The centerline and edge white lines will be repainted. <br /> A "STOP" warning will be painted on the trail near the intersection with Waco Street. <br /> <br /> addition, the Committee recommended that the following additional measures be <br /> lemented: <br /> An all-way (3-way) stop is placed at the intersection of Sunwood Drive (149th Avenue) and <br /> <br /> all-way (3-way) stop be placed at the intersection of 147th Lane and Waco Street. <br /> The partial all-way stop at 142nd Avenue and Waco Street be converted to an all-way (3-way) <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />Action: Motion to ratify the recommendation of the Public Works Committee. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Request by Resident to Install a Three-Way Stop at the Intersection of 146th <br />Avenue and Iodine Street <br /> <br />The Committee recommended that a stop sign be placed on Iodine Street and the warning signs <br />be posted on 146t~' Avenue identifying the blind intersection. <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />Discussion of Area South of City Hall <br /> <br />The Committee recommended that an ordinance be introduced repealing the "due on sale" 'clause <br />regarding sewer and water assessments for properties having functioning, onsite sanitary <br />systems. The Committee also recommended giving staff direction to contact residents to solicit <br />input on the plan for the proposed area. <br /> <br />Action: Motion to ratify the recommendation of the Committee. <br /> <br />Case #4: Consider Placement of 2001 Priority Street Lights <br /> <br />The Committee recommended that staff be directed to solicit proposals and install 12 priority <br />streetlights at the locations identified in the case. <br /> <br />.r405- <br /> <br /> <br />
