PC CASE <br /> <br />AUTHORIZE HIRING OF PUBLIC WORKS SECRETARY <br /> Rhonda Heryla, Human Resources Manager <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On May 22, 2001, the City Council accepted the resignation of Tara Olson, Public Works <br />Secretary, and authorized staff to begin recruitment to fill the vacancy. The position was <br />posted internally for five business days before being posted in multiple locations <br />including newspapers, other municipalities, and agencies/institutions representing diverse <br />populations. Fifty-seven (57) applications were received by the June 7th deadline and six <br />individuals were offered interviews to be held on June 25t~.
