Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Hendriksen, Anderson, and Kurak. Voting NO: None. Case #13: Report from Finance Committee The Finance Committee met on May 22, 2001 and discussed the following case: 1) Receive and Select an Architectural Proposal for the Proposed City Hall Expansion/Renovation Project Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Kurak to ratify the recommendations of the Finance Committee. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Kurak, and Anderson. Voting No: Councilmember Zimmerman. Case #14: Report from Personnel Committee 1) Authorize the Hiring of a Temporary Community Development Intern City Administrator Norman stated that at the City continues to grow, the Community Development Department continues to experience a growth in the demand for their services, particularly in the summer time. With the increasing number of projects that need their immediate attention, as well as the day to day assignments, staff requested that the City Council again authorize the hiring of an intern for the summer months. In addition to having an intern to provide research and general zoning and land use information, the Community Development City Council/May 22, 2001 Page 21 of 22 -67-
