-16- 2001, the Board of Adjustment denied a variance for Amcor Precast to construct a structure reaching 44 feet in height. On appeal, the City Council granted the variance to Amcor ?recast. City staff recommended denial of the vahance based on the Ramsey Fire Department's comments. Citizen Input Jim Gilbertson stated that the City has a mutual aid agreement with Elk River,~i~oka, so why would the City of Ramsey want to purchase their own aerial ladder truck .... 5i?~ · . He explained that he had met with the Fire Ckief regarding the height:iSSUe and s~nce~',:~hat meeting they have made a few adjustments to the proposed building. Th~hve changed the~a~g plan by four feet around the two sides of the building where the~Chief had the most addition to that they will have a level area for 25 feet ~-d~;~the build~g, as well as a around the building:' The Fire Chief also raised so~'};~:ssues reg~d~fire prevention to be included as part of completion of the building.
