Ms. Altoid stated that she specifically ~6ught their lot <br />because it was flat and did not have water around it and now they are propos~g ~ drainage pond <br />behind her house and she has several small children. She expressed co~cem over the lack of <br />green space being proposed as part of the townhome development. He stated that his primary concerns have ,t6:::'~O!;~vith the environmental imp~eL~he <br />development will have on the area, He encouraged the C0~ission .t67;~aess the properties that <br />currently abut the wetlands because most of those lots averag~in si%..~om h acre to 1 ½ acres in <br />size. When the developers speaks of tree preservation it w~ii ~::~h~i:~enging to do so on a ¼ acre <br />to ½ acre lot. He stated that he understands,that development wj~(;happen in the area, but thinks <br />that the City has a great opportunity to con~5['t~e:size of the lo~;;al~ng the wetlands. He stated <br />that it is not possible to place a house of t;da~¢~i:b'al~gon a ¼ ac;~ i~¢'~d preserve trees. Mr, <br />Iverson suggested that the City require a p~_;Lmtage~:~':t~:~:i:b'e,pres~'~d as well as requiring <br />certain setbacks.
