-68- <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman replied that there have been those discussions with one of the <br />property owners. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that staff should be pursing those options because it is <br />underutilized property. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec suggested discussing the issue further in a work session. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if an appraisal had been done on the large parcels of land. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich replied yes. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to direct the City <br />Attorney to continue the public purpose hearing condemnation action to the end of July and table <br />any further action until the second meeting in July pending staff response to various questions <br />the presentation of options available other than what was previously discussed and directing the <br />City Administrator to negotiate possible land acquisition with willing property owners. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Kurak, Hendriksen, Anderson, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mr. Gilbertson stated that there is adequate drainage on his property on all sides. He explained <br />that he has a retention pond and a drain field that the County required he put it in and that is still <br />open to take drainage water. When they originally agreed on the site a ditch was built between <br />his property in 1978. Never had a problem until Zitzloff came in and stopped the drainage. The <br />site plan for Zitzloff did not have any drainage at all.
