I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Case #5: Consider Payment of Relocation Expenses to Royal Concrete Pipe, Inc. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that as part of the Makens property condenmation action, the law <br />requires the City to offer relocation benefits to the tenant, Royal Concrete Pipe, Inc. To assist in <br />this project, the City retained Evergreen Land Services Company who specializes in relocation <br />claims. Evergreen drafted a Business Relocation Claim Booklet. City staff has met with <br />Evergreen and Royal Concrete representatives. After review of all the items subject to relocation <br />and the various quotes received for the relocation work, staff does concur with Evergreen's <br />conclusion, which is to pay to Royal Concrete Pipe, Inc., $51,890:00 for relocation benefits. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman inquired if the cost was originally anticipated in the preparation of <br />the District. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman replied yes. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if the dollar amount was agreed to by the business owner. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich replied yes. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Anderson, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to accept the <br />recommendation by Evergreen Services Company as outlined in its April, 2001 Business <br />Relocation Claim Booklet and direct payment to Royal Concrete Pipe, Inc. in the amount of <br />$51,890.00 as final settlement of its business relocation claim. <br /> <br />Motion carried. 'Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, Zimmerman, <br />Hendriksen, and Kurak. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #6: 3.2 Percent Malt Liquor License Renewal <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated that applications for renewal of the following licenses have <br />been received and are deemed to be in order: <br /> <br />Off-Sale 3.2 Percent Malt Liquor <br /> <br />#01-01 <br />#01-02 <br />#01-03 <br />#01-04 <br /> <br />Bill's Superette <br />Oasis Market #535 <br />SuperAmerica #4508 <br />Ramsey Amoco <br /> <br />15299 St. Francis Boulevard NW <br />14550 Armstrong Boulevard NW <br />14000 St. Francis Boulevard NW <br />6360 Highway #10 NW <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to approve <br />3.2 percent malt liquor license renewals for Bill's Superette, Oasis Market #535, SuperAmerica <br /> <br />City Council/June 12, 2001 <br />Page 13 of 19 <br /> <br />-69- <br /> <br /> <br />
