Brian Olson, P.E. - 9.- July 12, 2001

Future Traffic Operations AnalySis

To determine how well the existing and proposed roadway system will accommodate the
proposed developments, a traffic operations analysis was conducted for the a.m. and p.m.. peak
hours for the year 2006.

The signalized intersection of TH 47/153rd Avenue was analyzed using Synchro. The remaining
unsignalized intersections were analyzed using the Highway Capacity Software. As shown in
Table 3, all key intersections are expected to operate at an acceptable overall LOS B or better
during the a.m. and p.m. peak hours in the year 2006, with existing traffic control and geometric
layout.

Table 3
Year 2006 Capacity Analysis
Level of Service Results

Level of Service
Intersection A.M. Based on the existing counts, it is estimated that Ute Street north of 153rd Avenue has an
average daily traffic (ADT) volume of approximately 110 vehicles per day. In the year 2006, the
ADT is expected to increase to approximately 250 vehicles per day with the construction of the
proposed development. The amount of traffic expe.cled on. Ute Street will continue to be well
below the expected daily threshold for a Iocal residential street.

-147-
