Mr.
and Mrs,' Young reside at ~6421 154th Lane and are requesting a conditional use permit to
mainrmn a second dwelling on their property to provide living quarters when they retire and
immediate Ii~g quarters for Mrs. Young's mother. The Subject Property is approximately 1.3
acres in size ~nd is located in the Rural Residential Area. Mr. and Mr's. Young have an existing
576 square foot (24" x 24') detached garage. The Young's would like to construct a 960 square
foot (24' x 38') detached accessory structure. The accessory structure would serve two purposes
for the Young's; they would like to store personal recreational items and use the second floor as
future retirement living quarters for themselves and immediate living quarters for Mrs. Young's
mother. Mr. and Mrs. Young do not intend to rent or lease the dwelling to persons at large. Based

Planning Commission/September 10, 2001
