-354- <br /> <br />Councilmember <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION #00-09-XXX <br /> <br />RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING <br /> <br />CONTRACT FOR <br /> <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #01-31, WELL NO. 5 CONNECTION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 14, 2001, City Council adopted Resolution #00-08-xxx <br />approving the plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Improvement Project #01-31, <br />bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the following is a summary the six lowest quotes that were received: <br /> <br />Bidder Amount of Bid <br /> <br />Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc. <br />Kober Excavating, Inc. <br />Redstone Construction <br />Volk Sewer & Water, Inc. <br />Park Construction Company <br />W.B Miller, Inc. <br /> <br />$138,690.00 <br />$155,094.00 <br />$I57,756.26 <br />$158,187.50 <br />$158,379.00 <br />$159,523.10 <br /> <br />Engineers Estimate <br /> <br />$154,715.00 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that Dave Perk/ns Contracting, Inc. is the lowest <br />responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the <br />construction of Improvement Project #01-31 in the amount of $138,690.00. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />. . , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #00-09-XXX <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />! <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />
