Absent: Board Members Johnson and Sweet. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 7:21 p.m. <br /> <br />Board Business <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt called the Board of Adjustment meeting back to order at 7:21 p,m. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Board Member Kociscak, to adopt Resolution #01-09- <br />319 adopting Findings of Fact #0571, favorable to ttxe applicant, relating to Bruce and Carol <br />Buchart's request for a variance from the street frontage or lot width requirement. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Board Members Kociscak, Reeve and Watson. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Board Members Johnson and Sweet. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Board Member Kociscak, to approve Bruce and Carol <br />Buchart's request for a variance from the street frontage or lot width requirement based on the <br />Findings of Fact and adopt Resolution #01-09-230 declaring terms of same. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Board Members Kociscak, Reeve and Watson. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Board Members Johns'on and Sweet. <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />Request for a Variance to Height Restrictions for an Apartment Building; <br />Case of Lord of Life Church. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt closed the regular portion of the Board of Adjustment meeting at 7:26 p.m. in <br />order to conduct the public hearing. <br /> <br />Public 'Hearing <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt called the public hearing to order at 7:26 p.m. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt noted that this item is specifically regarding the height of the proposed <br />apartment building. There are four issues that will be addressed .in the Planning Commission <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Principal Planner Trudgeon stated that The Lord of Life Church has submitted an application to <br />receive a variance from the height restrictions in order to construct a seniors apartment building <br />on their property. The proposed building will be located east of the current church building and <br />along State Hwy. 47. City Code restricts the height of structures to 35 feet. The applicant has <br />proposed to construct an apartment building that will reach a height of about 52 feet at the peak <br /> <br />Board of Adjustment/September 10, 2001 <br /> Page 5 of 8 <br /> <br />-229- <br /> <br /> <br />
