Because the March 2001 draft Comprehensive Plan has not been adopted by the City Council, <br />approval of the requested rezoning will have to be conditioned on an amendment to the current <br />Comprehensive Plan to expand the MUSA boundary to include the subject property. The request <br />for a comprehensive plan amendment for an expansion of the MUSA boundary is also on <br />tonight's Council agenda for a decision. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission met on September 10, 2001 and conducted a public hearing regarding <br />the proposed rezoning. There were no written comments submitted to the City and there was one <br />resident present at the hearing that opposed the rezoning. Another resident wanted to be sure that <br />future access was planned to the north. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />The Planning Commission recommended that City Council approve the rezoning request.
