I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Councilmember <br />adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #01-12- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION IDENTIFYYNG FINDENGS AND APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO <br />THE COMPREHENISIVE PLAN AND AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO SUBMIT <br />THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT TO METROPOLITAN COUNCIL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 14, 2001, the City of Ramsey received a request for an <br />amendment to the Comprehensive Plan from Edina Development, Inc. (the Applicants) for the <br />purpose of amending the land use designation of the following legally described property: <br /> <br />That part of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 24, <br />Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota, lying, westerly of the center <br />line of State Trunk Highway No. 47; and <br /> <br />That part of the'Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 24, <br />Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota, lying north of the South <br />413.75 feet of said Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter and lying <br />westerly of the center line of State Trunk'Highway No. 47; and <br /> <br />That part of the South 413.75 feet of the soUthwest Quarter of the Northwest <br />Quarter of Section 24, Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota, lying <br />westerly of the center line of State Trunk Highway No. 47; <br /> <br />(the Subject Property) <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, the COmprehensive Plan Amendment approved in 1995 showed the <br />subject property's designated land use as commercial and low density residential; and <br /> <br /> AND wHEREAS, the Applicants are requesting that the subject property's designated <br />land use be changed to High Density Residential; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission met on September 10, 2001, conducted a <br />public hearing, and recommended that the Ramsey City Council approve the request for an <br />amendment to the Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has/has not determined that changing the land use designation to <br />high density residential is beneficial to the City as a wholel <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />l) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves changing the land use designation of the <br /> Subject Property from Commercial to High Density Residential. <br /> <br />-73- <br /> <br /> <br />
