Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #01-12- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT # RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST FROM JEFF DEAL AND CROSSTOWN SIGN FOR A CONDITIONAL USE <br />PERMIT TO EXCEED SIGN SQUARE FOOTAGE RESTRICTIONS ESTABLISHED <br />IN CITY CODE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received an application from Jeff Deal and Crosstown <br />Center Sign for a conditional use permit to exceed the sign square footage restrictions the <br />property legally described as follows: <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Lot 2, Block 1, Deal Industrial Park, Anoka County, Minnesota. <br /> <br />("Subject Property") <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE,. BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br /> <br />That Jeff Deal and Crosstown Center Sign, hereinafter referred to as the "Applicants," <br />properly applied for a conditional use permit to exceed sign square footage and height <br />restrictions on the Subject Property. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />That the Applicants appeared before the Ramsey Planning Commission for a public hearing <br />pursuant to Section 9.03.04 of the City Code on December 4, 2001, and that said public <br />hearing was properly advertised, and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby <br />incorporated as a part of these findings by reference. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />i <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />That the Subject Property is approximately 1.83 acres in size. <br /> <br />That the Subject Property and the parcels to the north, south, east and west are zoned B-3 <br />'Highway Business. <br /> <br />That Section 9.12.08, Subd. 2, of the Ramsey City Code states that wall signs shall be limited <br />to 15% of the front building fagade. <br /> <br />That the Applicant is allowed 122 square feet of wall signage on the Subject Property. <br /> <br />That the Applicant is proposing to erect an awning sign that will extend along the building <br />front and a portion of the east and west sides of the building. <br /> <br />That the awning is 315 square feet in size and entirety of the awning surface will be faced <br />with business and service advertising along with color logos. <br /> <br />The installation of the 315 square foot advertising awning results in a 193 square foot <br />overage in the allowable wall signs on the building. <br /> <br />10. That the Applicant is proposing to remove all existing wall signs. <br /> <br />-123- <br /> <br /> <br />
