Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Van Scoy, Board Members Levine, Cleveland, and, <br />Levine. Voting No: None. Absent: Board Members Brauer, Dunaway, and Rogers. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS/BOARD BUSINESS <br />Case #1: Continued - Request for a Variance to Construct a Detached Accessory <br />Building Nearer the Front Property Line than the Principal Structure at <br />16151 Olivine Street NW; Case of Colin and Laura Hogue <br />Presentation <br />Associate Planner Gladhill presented the Staff Report. <br />Board Business <br />Laura and Colin Hogue, 16151 Olivine Street, the applicant, presented the board with new photos <br />of the property. - <br />Al Wilhouse, contractor for the applicant, stated they brought in the building forms believing <br />they met all the setbacks and went in to apply for the building permit and that is when they found <br />out a variance would be needed to proceed. <br />Chairperson Van Scoy visited the property and after measuring he has determined that the <br />proposed garage could be placed in conformance with the ordinance and topography is not an <br />issue. <br />Board Member Cleveland stated she thinks a variance could be granted because it might not be <br />possible to keep the structure lined up with the house. <br />Motion by Board Member Cleveland, seconded by Board Member Hunt to adopt resolution <br />adopting findings of fact favorable to the applicant relating to a request for a variance at 16151 <br />Olivine Street NW with the restrictions of the Board of Adjustment for the distance off of the <br />front line. <br />Motion amended by Board Member Cleveland, seconded by Board Member Hunt to adopt <br />resolution #10 -08 -168 adopting findings of fact #0873 favorable to the applicant relating to a <br />request for a variance at 16151 Olivine Street NW. <br />Further Discussion <br />Discussion ensued in regards to locations of where the garage could be located. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Board Members, Cleveland, Hunt, and Levine. Voting No: <br />Chairperson Van Scoy.
