The shrubs and trees are now.well established. The median prairie restoration however did
not survive maintenance mowing. Having access to technical design and project implementation could be
very beneficial and have successful results for vegetation choices and establishment, biologically healthy and
sustainable with Iow maintenance as well as a pleasing aesthetic for the final landscaping features.

We have an annual Tree Sale and Environmental Expo that is a well attended spring festival and a focus for
community volunteers and developing partnerships. Our Environmental Spedalist has helped develop this
community event with the elementary school, and has managed several DNR proposals and projects with
community volunteers We would like to showcase some of our landscape restoration and Iow input
management options as suitable for homeowners and businesses.

We feel that our staff time and volunteer coordination can be greatly enhanced by seeking your technical
assistance for these goals and local effort.
