-180-

Shared Cost with C.O.R. Proi~ct 02-21

To achieve the water quality goals for the contributing area, the storm water from
the properties fronting about 900 feet of Helium Street will be routed to a
proposed detention basin to be located on the rear of one lot south of 152nd Ave.
being built in the C.O.R. Project No. 02-21. The area of runoff from this project
area was approximately 50% of the total area of runoff draining to the detention
basin in Project 02-21. The storm drain culverts and detention basin volume were
increased in size to handle this additional runoff. Therefore, it is proposed that
50% of the cost of the storm drains between that detention basin and the Helium
St. project be allocated to be used as an in-kind value provided by the City in
negotiating for the road right-of-way.

Shared Cost with C.O.R. Project 02-22

To achieve the water quality goals for the contributing area, the storm water from
the properties fronting about 200 feet of Helium Street will be routed to a
proposed relocated detention basin to be located on the rear of two lots west of
existing Helium St. in Pondvale Estates, C.O.R. Project No. 02~22. The storm
drain culverts and detention basin volume were increased in size to handle this
ad(~itional runoff. Therefore, it is proposed that 25% of the cost of the storm
drains between that detention basin and the Helium St. project be allocated to be
used as an in-kind value provided by the City in negotiating for the road right-of-
way.

See "EXHIBIT A" for detailed description of the proposed street and storm
drainage improvements.

B. Water System

The proposed water system improvements will provide a minimum 8" water main
to allow the inter-connection to the water system provided in the other two project
areas discussed earlier. All mains will be DIP. Fire hydrant spacing will be
approximately 300 to 400 feet. Where the adjoining property is undeveloped,
one-inch services will be provided at 85-foot intervals.

See "EXHIBIT B" for detailed description of the proposed water system
improvements.

C. Sanitary sewer System

All proposed sanitary sewer lines will be 8" PVC pipe with manhole spacing at
400-feet maximum. The depth of the sanitary sewers will be between 10 to 18
feet.

Page 4
G;\MunicipaI~ARAMSEY,3168\RA3168FSR 1 .doc

I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

I
I'
I
I
I
I
I
I
