-218- <br /> <br />9,0 <br /> <br />SUMMARY AND RECOMblENDATIONS <br /> <br />The proposed improvements are technically feasible and will benefit the area <br />served. It is recommended that the City take the steps discussed in Section 8.0 <br />of this report should the City Council decide to proceed with the improvements. <br /> <br />If City Council selects to proceed with this project, we recommend Option lB be <br />constructed for the following reasons: <br /> <br />1. Current City Policy. requires the installation of concrete curb and gutter on all <br /> new streets that have city and water. <br /> <br />2. The existing storm sewer system in this development is seriously deficient <br /> and doesn't provide adequate surface drainage. <br /> <br />3. Option 1 provides for additional water quality benefits to the surface water <br /> that discharges to the City's wetlands. <br /> <br />4.
