Alternative B: Construction cost for this alternative is estimated to be
$44,000. Both alternatives for A and B may have a conflict with the gas line. Alternative C: The
Thorson's have considered placing a four-inch tile line across their backyard. The cost of this
project undertaken by the Thors6n's is estimated to be $500 with the request of the City
participating in this expense.

Motion was made to recommend that the City Council direct staff to obtain an easement on the
Thorson property and pay them for the easement so that the Thorson's can proceed With
Alternative C.

Action:

Ratify the recommendation of the Public Works Committee.

COMMITTEES/STAFF INPUT

1) Sanitary Sewer Comprehensive Plan Update

Background:

Assistant Public Works Director Olson stated that they hope to receive the aerial photos and
topographical information in August.
